I love reading new genres of books, although I’ve never really been a ‘Sci-Fi’ guy. For some reason this book struck a chord and I decided to take the plunge. I have to admit, it took the first 100 pages or so for me to be comfortable with the genre and fully immersed in the world and the characters. Once it clicked, I literally couldn’t put the book down. Extremely well told story with rich, fully developed characters. This would be a great book to take to the beach or the mountains and disengage from the world in a very well crafted story. I’m already looking forward to the sequel! If you’re a book lover, especially those with an interest in SCI-FI, I highly recommend. ARL: The Local War. You won’t be disappointed!”
