My Current Project
I love stories. All my life, my head has been full of them. One story in particular has nagged at the back of my brain for years, itching to be told. It’s the story of an exploited child. He’s not a prince in disguise or the subject of some prophesy. He’s just a kid, leading a very hard and sad life. Yet, through it all, he never loses faith that things could be better. Not just for him, but for everyone. Through grit and determination, and some dumb luck, he will rise to became the hero a desperate world needs.
Welcome to Stormrider: A Local War story (working title). Set in the same Local War universe as the Andromeda Rhoades trilogy, it is a stand-alone story of never giving up, no matter what life throws at you. I’m about half-way through the first draft and having a ton of fun with it. Steve Stone has once again created fantastic cover art for the book.
Not to fret for fans of Andromeda Rhoades. I’m already planning out the next trilogy, Sundown Rhoades, that will continue the story of the Rhoades family, of Kamen Laundraa, Rapidan, Gen Serenna, Dagoberto Arias, Ecuum, Captain Fletcher, and the rest. Heroes and villains new and old as civil war engulfs the whole of the Local Group of galaxies.
