Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and wishing you a prosperous New Year!
I’m up to chapter 9 of Sundown Rhoades Daybreak: The Local War (Book 4), and have completed a chapter-by-chapter outline of the first section of the book, which covers the events in the Five Galaxies while Kamen and Ray make their way to Andromeda. Section two of the novel will bring the storylines back together. The ultimate goal is 9 novels—a trilogy of trilogies—in this story arc. I already have ideas for other story arcs set in the same universe.
Speaking of which, I’ve queried several literary agencies on Stormrider: A Local War Story and am still waiting to hear back. Given how much I suck at marketing, it would be nice to have a (legitimate) agent, publicist, and publishing house. My time in the Army, and my work with the Navy and emergency managers in disaster responses taught me that good teams can achieve so much more than an individual. I should start receiving the first responses, or confirmed no responses, in January 2026.
Finally, I wanted to thank, once again, the truly awesome authors of my critique group. They are a fantastic team to be a part of, and my stories are so much better for their honest comments and suggestions. Here’s wishing all of you success in 2026! Have an awesome day!
